My partner and I love going out for dinner but we often feel bad when we can't take our puppy.

A lot of the time we choose dog-friendly venues, but our boy often ends up getting left out when it comes to eating.

Most of the time we take a portion of his food with us to keep him quiet when we're eating, but it came as welcome news when we found a quaint little bistro that also served up doggy dinners.

So last Thursday, we decided to book a table at LOADED in Wollaston and treat our Golden Retriever, Bungle, to dinner out - because he's such a good boy.

Obviously, we dressed him for the occasion and popped his little bow-tie on for his first proper meal out.

LOADED is located on Bridgnorth Road, in Stourbridge. It's run by a young couple, Jessica Billingham and Matthew Holmes, who set the business up in 2019.

The restaurant serves up cuisines from all over the world topped on a base of your choice ranging from nachos, fries, pasta, veg-etti, rice, jacket potatoes and baguettes.

They also serve gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and vegetarian options. So after scouring the menu I decided on the beef with brûléed thyme loaded on top of fries.

The dish consists of braised beef with onions and carrots in rich red wine gravy and it was absolutely divine. You could taste the red wine in the sauce and the meat was so tender.

Sean ordered the Louisiana blackened chicken on a baguette with crispy onions. The shredded chicken had a nice little kick to it, which was made all the better with the zingy ranch dressing. The baguette was crispy after being baked in an oven and perfectly cooked.

Bungle tucked into his doggy dinner which consisted of chicken, peas, broccoli and carrots. He wolfed his food down all while furiously wagging his tail - as you can see in the video above it certainly got his seal of approval.

He literally licked the bowl until it was squeaky clean.

For dessert, I treated myself to a crepe topped with Kinder Bueno white chocolate sauce and Kinder ice cream. I absolutely love Kinder so this dessert was a dream come true.

It was really tasty and I imagined it was going to be really sickly but that wasn't the case at all. We also washed down our meal with cans of Coke and Coke Zero.

One thing that we spotted and really loved was the wall showcasing work from local artists. It added a nice touch to the rustic vibe and we did end up buying a piece of art for our home.

For what we had it was great value for money, with the bill totalling just £22 (not including the artwork we purchased).

The only thing I would say is that I wished we had ordered more. We weren't sure of how big the portions were going to be. They weren't tiny and they weren't huge and you get what you pay for.

So next time I go, I think I may order some sides or try a couple of new things. I think this would be a great place to go with a group of friends.

You could definitely order a mixture of dishes from the menu and share them out - without having to spend a fortune, which is great if you get food envy like me.

It's also great place to stop and refill if you're out and about with your dog.
