Holly Willoughby has stunned fans by posing for a photo with a family pet.

This Morning star Holly shared a photo of herself and her mother-in-law's 'baby' - an Irish wolfhound called Mullins.

Holly, 40, described Mullins as a 'gentle giant' as she shared the snap with her 7.2million followers on Instagram.

Her followers were floored by the size of the pooch which appeared to almost be as tall as the TV star.

Mum-of-three Holly wrote: " Hanging out with this gentle giant today… meet my mother in laws baby… Mullins #irishwolfhound #dogsofinstagram."

She signed off with a green love heart and the comments came pouring in.

"OMG he is adorable! Like the BFG in dog world x"

"What breed of horse is this?" joked another.

"He nearly as tall as you," said another fan.

And another said: "Knowing how frightened you are of dogs that move, you are being very brave."
