A dog trying to hide from firecracker bangs has ended up getting trapped behind a wall in China.
Rescuers had to use a hammer to break open the apartment divider, which had no holes on it, to save the stuck pet last week, local media reported.
Neighbours believed that the mutt, which belonged to a local, had been frightened by the festive bangs, but no one was certain how it had managed to squeeze into the enclosed partition.

The incident took place on February 13 when the locals celebrated the Lunar New Year, reported Shanghai-based news website The Paper.
The dog was said to be stranded behind a wall on the fourth floor of a residential compound in Yancheng, a city in eastern China's Jiangsu Province.
A rescuer team arrived to free the animal after neighbours heard it behind the partition and called the police.
One video shows one bystander trying to lure the canine by holding a treat before another man pulls it out and puts in on the ground. It is believed the dog had been frightened by firecrackers
The dog's owner, who remains unidentified, confessed that they had no idea how the pet had managed to get behind the wall. It is understood the pooch did not sustain any serious injuries
One video circulating on Douyin, China's version of TikTok, shows an officer knocking the wall open with a hammer before the scruffy dog pokes its head through the opening about six feet above the ground.
Another clip shows the mongrel hanging its head out of the hole while curiously staring at bystanders filming the scene.
In a third piece of footage, one bystander tries to lure the canine by holding a treat before another man pulls it out and puts in on the ground.
