The Edmonton Fire Rescue Service team had quite the adventure when they got called to rescue a chicken stuck in a tree on Friday, July 31. 

According to a tweet, Ladder 16 responded to a call stating that a chicken was stuck roughly 20 feet above the ground.

Why did the chicken climb the tree?

Despite a full crew arriving to the scene, the chicken fluttered down all by itself before getting taken into the care of animal control. 

The fire rescue team tweeted out two pictures of the chicken in its tree fort oasis and honestly, it’s a mood. 

In one of the photos, you can make out the chickens head peering down at the firefighters patiently waiting to be rescued.
