Virginia State Police rescue three fawns after car hits, kills their mom
Virginia State Police have come to the rescue of three baby deer whose mother died after being hit be a car (VSP)
GREENE Co., Va. (WSET) -- Virginia State Police have come to the rescue of three baby deers whose mother died.
According to a Facebook post from VSP, Trooper S. Gregory, Trooper J. Reaves & Trooper D. Randall were able to locate and rescue the triplets after their mother was struck and killed in a crash Wednesday morning, May 20 in Greene County.
Images of the encounter show the fawns curled up and being held by officers.
They say the fawns were transported to a nearby animal rehabilitation center.
