New video footage shows the increasingly nervous and almost comical reaction a reporter has to an oncoming herd of bison he spots nearing him at Yellowstone National Park. 

Deion Broxton, a reporter with NBC affiliate KTVM in Montana, is live on camera as he spots the giant beasts approaching him, in a video posted on Twitter.  

'There was a herd of bison walking right toward me @YellowstoneNPS today!' he wrote in the Wednesday afternoon post.

As the footage unfolds, Broxton's eyes shift from side-to-side and then he makes his quiet exit, all the while saying 'Oh my God! Oh no. I ain't messing with you,' as he's recorded by a live mic. 

The video has since gone viral.  

The 18-second footage as of Thursday morning was retweeted more than 59,000 times and had close to 300,000 likes. 

Broxton later posted a second video showing the animals and proving that his hair-raising but funny response was warranted.
