With the coronavirus outbreak forcing humans to lockdown, all shelters around the country are affected. They are asking people to consider fostering and adopting to help save the animals in need. But Wayside Waifs, a no-kill shelter in Missouri, has their very own dog hero who is saving animals!

On Wednesday, March 25th, they posted on Facebook but an eventful walk with rescue dog Goober. While walking, Goober came upon a spot and wouldn’t move. He was trying to pull the team over to see what he found. He insisted and the rescuers realized that there was a kitten stuck in a hole.

The cat was saved thanks to Goober, and is now named Pearl. Goober was once rescued and certainly paid it forward. Pearl will now also have a chance at a furever home where she will be loved and cared for, and she is safe now.
