Indiana dog missing since October found, returned to family in time for Christmas
A family in Indiana is calling it a Christmas miracle after its dog, who had been missing since October, was found safe and returned to them on Christmas Eve. Daisy, who went missing Oct. 5, was found safe in the Brownsburg/Clermont Heights area, Hendricks County Animal Shelter officials said in a Facebook post. Ashleigh Chaney, who found Daisy, posted to a community page saying the dog was found on the side of the road and appeared to have been lost for a while. The person brought the dog in and cleaned her up, and was hoping to return her to her home but she had no tag. Linda Sanders, a Brownsburg resident, stepped in to help find the owner by posting the message to Found Pet Alert and Indy Lost Pet Alerts. Sanders took the dog in until they found her owners or a new home. That's when Sanders said a Christmas miracle happened. She was contacted by the owners and was able to return Daisy in time for Christmas. Sanders updated her Facebook post with a reunion picture, saying it warmed her heart knowing Daisy would be with her family for the holidays.
