A man who lost a precious memento of his late wife is thanking God and the camping community.

Patrick Waddell says he lost a necklace somewhere at Ocean Lakes Family Campground on Saturday, July 28.

"My rings have been found! Slight[ly] ran over, but still together nonetheless. God is great!" Waddell said Tuesday afternoon.

Around 3:45, Waddell received a phone call from Graham Golf Cars in Surfside Beach saying the rings had been turned-in.

Shortly thereafter, Waddell says he received another phone call from an anonymous person.

"They told me that their son saw them in the parking lot on Saturday but didn't think they were real. He saw a post from a friend of theirs who lives in Burlington, NC who shared the post from Ocean Lakes and said, 'Look mama-- those are the rings we saw!' They went back up there and gave them to the woman who they knew at Graham Golf Cars. They figured she would have my number," Waddell said.

"I don't know who you are, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart. May God bless the rest of your week here at the local campground," he continued. " In God's timing, everything happens. Not always at the rate of speed we may like, not always the outcome we like, but for His glory at all times."

Waddell says he doesn't think he'll have the jewelry fixed.

"The rings are like a marriage. They're real. They aren't perfect, but every flaw tells a story. In all the highs and all the lows, the journey is what molds the partnership and all the imperfections make them perfection."
