“Sex and the City” fans got a much-anticipated reunion.
Sarah Jessica Parker turned up at a Cinema Society screening of “The White Crow” and was reunited with guest Mikhail Baryshnikov, sending photographers into a frenzy (Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw famously broke up with Baryshnikov’s Aleksandr Petrovsky before taking back Mr. Big in the final season).
Baryshnikov also had another fan — Ukraine-born ballet dancer Oleg Ivenko, who makes his acting debut starring as Rudolf Nureyev in the film. Ivenko’s baby-blue eyes nearly popped out of his head when he saw Baryshnikov, his idol, walk in, and the two met for the first time and huddled together for much of the night.
Others practically doing grand jetés to gush over director Ralph Fiennes and Ivenko at the premiere at The Metrograph included Anna Wintour, Patti Smith, Sting and Trudie Styler, Carolina Herrera, Bianca Jagger, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Andy Cohen, Josh Lucas, Rosie Perez, Lorraine Bracco, Hamish Bowles and Alexandra Richards.
