Snow dog left behind! Pooch clears a path to help out his little friend when the adorable little pup gets stuck after a blizzard

  • Small dog is stuck on other side of yard after huge dumping of snow in Colorado
  • Larger pooch, called Kona, bounds through the snow to help rescue his little pal
  • Realtor John Mace shared hilarious footage of his and neighbour's dogs online

This is the adorable moment a big dog helps out his little friend who is stuck across the yard by bounding through the snow and clearing a path to the house.

Video filmed in Durango, Colorado, shows the smaller pooch's ears just poking out from the snow while a man shouts for him to come over.

Realtor John Mace shared the hilarious clip of his dog, Kona, moving through the snow to rescue the smaller pup after his area received 80inchs of snow in one week.

Although the small dog tries his best to get closer the snow is too deep for his little legs, and he only makes it two jumps before having to stop.

Luckily for the pup, Kona is on hand and cannot wait to get into the snow and rescue his friend.

Mr Mace tells Kona to 'go get him' and the animal bounds into the snow with his tail enthusiastically wagging.

After a while he stops and sees if the smaller dog can meet him halfway but the little one - while happily jumping around - struggles to move through the deep snow.

Mr Mace again encourages Kona saying 'go get him' and the black pooch starts to move again, finally reaching his pal.

The dogs touch noses and wag their tails once they're reunited before turning around and running back to the house in the path cleared by the bigger Kona.

Mr Mace laughs as he says: 'He had to clear a path for him.'

Both of the dogs, whose owners live next door to each other, charge up to the deck and head for the dry house after the rescue mission is complete.

Dozens of people have commented on the video saying 'treats need to be awarded' and praising Kona for 'understanding his task.'

Another person said: 'Snow dog left behind.'
