Officers were dispatched Thursday to the abandoned vehicle near Waters Avenue and Armenia Avenue where the cat was found stuck inside the engine bay.

Officers Miller, Pigott and Tagliani were able to gain entry to the engine bay and rescue the little guy. Officer Tagliani rushed the kitty to a local vet where the cat was found to be malnourished and dehydrated. He’s expected to make a full recovery.

No information is available as to where the kitty will end up. It would be great if one of the rescuers decided to adopt the little guy.

Thank you, officers. We see so few happy endings these days.
